How We Protect Your Information

Security language is easy to inflate, so here is the honest version: what we do, what we don’t claim, and how to ask for more.

What we do

Each point below is something we can point to in how the app is built or operated.

Data in transit

Traffic between your device and Clear Couples is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.

Data at rest

Your records are stored in the cloud database that powers the app. We do not publish a specific storage-encryption claim here, because we only make claims we can support.

Account security

Sign-in is handled by the platform’s authentication service. Your credentials are yours to protect, and you are responsible for activity under your account — the Terms say so plainly.

Access controls

A couple space is limited to the partners in it. A counselor you link can view that relationship’s data. A limited number of administrators have access as needed to operate and support the service.

Infrastructure

Clear Couples runs on the Base44 platform, which provides hosting, database, authentication and file storage for the app.

Service providers

Like most apps, we rely on trusted providers to operate: payment processing through Stripe, plus cloud hosting and analytics, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Security limitations

No online service can promise absolute security, and we don’t. Records you choose to record are protected by sign-in and access rules rather than by secrecy between partners.

Removing access

Unlinking a counselor ends their access immediately. Leaving a relationship ends yours. Deleting it removes the couple space for both partners.

What we don’t claim

Being clear about the limits is part of being trustworthy.

Stated plainly

We don’t claim end-to-end encryption, we don’t describe our infrastructure as “bank-grade”, and we don’t claim security certifications, penetration-test results or audit reports. The Privacy Policy puts it simply: we use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards, and no system is 100% secure. We can’t guarantee absolute security, and we won’t pretend otherwise.

Sharing is by design, not by leak

Your couple space is built to be shared between you and your partner. That isn’t a security flaw — it’s the product. Privacy here comes from sign-in protection and access rules, not from secrecy between partners, so please record what you’re comfortable sharing.

Storage details, retention and the deletion routes are covered on the privacy page, because they’re mostly about the choices we offer you.

The legal details

This Center explains our practices in plain language. It doesn’t replace the legal documents — the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service stay the complete and authoritative versions.
