How Clear Couples Uses AI

AI writes the insights in Clear Couples, so it deserves a straight answer — including the part most products bury.

This is the short version. The full AI Policy documents every AI feature, what information AI can process, retention, human review, and the questions still being confirmed.

What AI does here

Three features use AI today. Nothing else in the app does.

Deep-dive reports

When you ask for one, Clear Couples sends your cycle numbers to an AI model that looks for patterns, writes conversation starters and suggests one priority to focus on.

Readiness guidance

The Readiness module can generate short coaching tips based on the stage you chose and the categories where you scored lowest.

The in-app support guide

A chat assistant answers questions about using Clear Couples. It sees the messages you type and which page you’re on — it has no access to your relationship records.

These features run through a third-party AI service, which processes the request on our behalf to return the result — the same kind of service-provider relationship described in the Privacy Policy.

What AI may process

The AI features work from numbers, labels and trends rather than your private writing.

Does my data help train or improve AI?

Yes — and we won’t bury it

The Privacy Policy states that we may use your data — including relationship inputs, responses and usage behaviour — to improve the accuracy and relevance of insights, enhance algorithms and analytics, and develop, train and refine internal models, including machine learning and AI-driven features. Where possible we use aggregated, anonymized or de-identified data for these purposes, and we won’t use personally identifiable information to train models in a way that publicly identifies you. That is the policy you accept when you create an account.

There is no separate in-app switch for this. If it changes your decision about what to record, that’s a reasonable response — you can also read the full wording in the Privacy Policy.

Human review

We don’t claim one

We don’t publish a commitment about humans reviewing AI outputs, so we won’t state one here. If that matters for your decision, contact support and we’ll tell you what we can.

What AI can’t do

Treat AI insights as a prompt for conversation, not a verdict

  • Not included:They can be incomplete or flat-out wrong.
  • Not included:They can miss context you didn’t record, or misread what you did.
  • Not included:They can be a poor fit for your culture, history or circumstances.
  • Not included:They are not a diagnosis, a clinical evaluation or a professional recommendation.
  • Not included:They should never be the only basis for a significant decision about your relationship.

For anything that needs trained, personalized or clinical judgement, a licensed professional is the right resource — and Clear Couples works best alongside that support.

AI questions

The legal details

This Center explains our practices in plain language. It doesn’t replace the legal documents — the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service stay the complete and authoritative versions.
